An ongoing series of my poems intended to show support for the Beacon community. Each poem is inspired by a Beacon Main Street business or service.

Your participation is invited! - - If you wish to collaborate, please send original artwork, photos, music, and other content by both adults and children to larrysansone@gmail.com. I will post these submissions here, along with the poems.

The Ship's Galley
(Inspired by Gerardo's Seafood Cafe )

We wander helplessly adrift,
Upon an ocean of distress,
And seek to remedy forthwith,
Our hunger's hapless emptiness.

A port sought in a swelling storm,
Of great impatient aimless wants,
Bare holds. Lost souls to be reborn,
Through sustenance and ambience.

Afloat, in search of anchorage,
A Beacon light is spied at last,
A siren cry for patronage,
Plays out our long pursued repast.

And we, once wasting, are restored,
By finest fare, unto the world.
Saved from the depths, we rise once more,
Our spirits high, our sails unfurled.
