An ongoing series of my poems intended to show support for the Beacon community. Each poem is inspired by a Beacon Main Street business or service.

Your participation is invited! - - If you wish to collaborate, please send original artwork, photos, music, and other content by both adults and children to larrysansone@gmail.com. I will post these submissions here, along with the poems.

Bagel
(Inspired by The Beacon Bagel )

How can there be a hole that fills a hole?
How is a hunger met by vacant space?
Oh, modern miracle of magic dough,
By which the laws of physics are erased.

For nothing adds to nothing more, and thus,
A zero totals naught when multiplied,
Yet, something with no middle centers us-
Our great unsolved equation satisfied.

Eternal ring of flavor and delights,
Which feeds unto itself in endless roll,
A never-ending, joyous, wheel of life,
One piece left absent to enclose our souls.
